Meet Vania...
“I grew up in one of the most enchanting and unique regions of Italy,Tuscany! Surrounded by rolling hills, the sea, and the mountains, I always dreamed of exploring the world, learning from different cultures, and keeping my mind open to new inspirations. And that’s exactly what I did—and continue to do.
For 15 years, I ran a marketing company, specializing in event planning and national promotions, coordinating hundreds of hostesses while ensuring every client’s needs were met. I managed every aspect of the business, carefully overseeing budgets and logistics—skills that are just as essential for a professional wedding planner.
These experiences helped me refine what started as a passion in 2002 (organizing weddings for friends and family) without ever imagining it would become my full-time career.
Then, in 2018, everything changed! My husband, daughter, and I moved to England, and it was there that I realized my true calling: becoming a Destination Wedding Planner. With the support of an incredible mentor, I founded Vania Weddings, and since returning to Italy, I haven’t stopped creating unforgettable celebrations for couples from all over the world.
This is me! Designing weddings and events isn’t just what I do—it’s what I love the most, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Working with couples from different cultures, getting to know them on a deeper level, and turning their dreams into reality is an incredible privilege, and I am endlessly grateful for it”.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
- I love my name, because it’s still rare – even though it’s a male-Russian name 😂
- Music is an essential part of my life – I can’t work or do anything without music in the background
- I’m a dog person – I think dogs love people unconditionally
- I’m keen on good quality food and wine – couldn’t be otherwise since I’m from Tuscany
- I’m a bit obsessed with shoes and bags – I’m a woman, what did you expect?
- I love coffee – can’t start a new day without a hot cup of Italian coffee
- New York is the way to my heart – but I don’t deny Maldives 😉
- “The Family Man” is my favourite movie – maybe because Christmas is my highlight of the year
- “Grey’s Anatomy” is my favorite TV show. I cry every time I watch it, even though I’ve seen each episode 4 times
- As you can see, I use too many emojis – my favourite is the heart-eyes emoji
- I normally build friendships with each of my couples
- I get sad at the end of each wedding because it’s all over – but grateful for the happiness of the couple
- I’m just a mother of an amazing girl, in love with my husband since ever and with an enormous passion for what I do.
